Alright, I have a lot of bodywork to get done. I have some money saved up, but I am thinking about saving some more and waiting and just painting the whole car. I wanna go with another color, but it must match blue to match the interior. I don't want a dark color really. I don't want blue either. No offense to anyone, but every other eclipse with an aftermarket paintjob is blue. I thought about the light bluish silver color the 3G's come in, but I wanna go for a wow factor and get something nicer than a stock color. Right now, I am leaning towards stock silver w/ blue or white pearl and/or maybe doing the flames in kandy blue or ghosting them. I wanna hear some feedback. I dunno if I'll paint it. It depends on pricing, but if it's within a decent range, I'll go for it. If I need another $1,000; I will go ahead with the stuff I have and just get boost 1st.

I know you said blue is a common afermarket color but.... That blue guy on here, 99gsbbturbo or who knows, with the GSX, cant deny how nice a blue pearl like that can look. Common or not, its insane....

Thats all I have to recommend because its my favorite color. Otherwise I like silver, a dark silver, but you already have silver so..

an option I am gonna check- getting my flames painted on in that blue. I don't want a deep blue car. Darker colors hide body lines. Having a kit without visibility of body lines defeats the purpose. His isn't bad. I like it the most of blues, but I want something that will stand out in a sea of blue eclipses. Nothing bright, but nothing dark. I really like silver. I also like bluish silver colors. Just dunno what any are called or what they look like.

Orange ohh wait thats what I want. Are you painting the door jambs and all that crap too? if not I say just paint it a silver with blue pearl and then do the flames in a blue like the GSX guys blue (Sorry I don't know names just cars ) that way it does not totaly stick out that you did not do all the little detail work too.

def. mold the kit whatever it is.. looks better..but dont mold the front to the rest of the car.. if u get hit or hit someone else..where its molded will be a stress point and that'll be the first place it'll break.. just my opinion tho... and also.. unless your gonna paint the jams..keep it silver.. otherwise you might not be happy when its done.. again just my .02... I have the vis racing sides like the ereberni ..but they are made way better.. heres a pic of it.. they def. look good.. and if u can afford it.. cut out the holes in the side.. i spent a but load on my car.. and didnt have enough to finish the cut out.. at leasdt not right away..

I would never mold a front on a daily driver. I think I am gonna check on getting the flames done kandy blue or blue pearl. May check to wet sand and shoot crazy amounts of clear too. bling bling. I just love silver. Easy to keep clean and it ust seems meant to be. any more ideas are cool tho. I want some feedback. let me know what u guys think here. photoshops are very useful with this imo.

Ya, there is a truck in my area that after he saw my color he wanted to paint his flames that color. It's a white truck with blue flames now... pretty nice. I believe he has green tips on the flames.

is your paint color just HOK blue pearl? or is it ________ blue pearl? Or what? I'd like to do the flames in that color b/c the different variations that color has in lighting. it's not light blue, but it's not too dark. That's the best blue I've ever seen. It just glows.

It's a rare color that isn't commonly seen on anything else but the limited ed bugs....or the new 350z blue, which is what I have on the teg, or the copper/orange color looks nice too

I did this kinda fast because I really didn't have much time but I can do it better if you want me to later. But I added the sides skirts a hint of blue pearl and slammed it.

This year is gonna suck up until Nopi. It's looking like a building year for the car. Hopefully I can get a lot done so I can turbo this coming year. I originally planned to go turbo by summer, but as you guys probably know, my mind is quick to change b/c I start so many things. I have started exterior, interior, and under the hood. I have some performance, but nothing major. I wanna finish up on my show area of the car b/c that's what I like most. I wanna get it boosted b4 it gets cold again tho. We shall see.

Go with Lexus RS-300 (i think thats the name, its the small Lexus SUV) blue-silver, its a real badass color if you are looking at a blue silver color, and you might be able to get away with stock silver jambs. That color w/ blue ghost flames would be clean. Also check out Audi TT light blue...

if color changes, it will have the jams painted too. I doubt I have enough money to do that, and I'm stuck on silver anyways. I think I'm gonna try and get the flames done up and get my bodywork done.

Personally, and I think you've made your decision so I'm really just commenting here, I think your car would look badass with a Majik Blue Pearl body and silver flames.

Yeah, I had thought about that. But 2 reasons.
1) I don't want to take 99GSBBturb's color away like that.
2)I love the way the car looks and it's stuck on my mind like that.
well, with all I am getting done, it will probably be cheaper too, but I would save up if I wanted to color change. Can someone photoshop my car blue w/ silver flames as well? as well as the silver w/ blue flames. and put on type 2's? I'd appreciate it.

I actually thought hard about going blue w/ silver, but that girl here has stock blue with white, and our cars would probably look even more similar. I am just gonna check on the blue flames for now with all else I plan on. Then we'll see after pricing gets back.

I appreciate all the suggestions tho. Keep the suggestions and/or photoshops rolling. They all help me out here.

about how much would the paint and all the other things cost me approx? How much does Pearl paint from House of Kolor run? I have been hearing it's out the ass like chamelion and stuff. That you need 3 things b/c it's a 3 step process. I dunno anything about paint. Can anyone tell me approx. how much I need and how much it costs? I assume they sell it by the quart or pint or something? And what else is needed besides the paint, if anything. TIA!
