I took off the originial steering and behind that, there was some kind of rotor with 3 wires attached to it. It's impossible to unplug the wires. I assume the single wire is the horn wire and the other two wires are the airbag wires. If I don't take the rotor off, the momo hub won't fit. How to I overcome this? I don't know how to wire my horn and how to get rid of the SRS light that's now on. I'm very confused and lost. Please help. I have a 95' Eclipse RS. Thanks a million to anyone who can offer some advice.

i don't have a clue about any of this but i pretty sure 9D9 MITSU RS has a momo steering wheel or some sort of aftermarket one and he could probably help ya out.

I made my own wheel hub for my sparco steering wheel with the help of the old steering wheel, a little geometry, and a bunch of washers. I will be posting pics early next week. It's center and tight.

the rotor you are talking about- is it black with a yellow sticker on it? The clockspring? I had to cut it out. The clips wouldn't come off of it. I think it may actually be riveted in. I cut mine out, and I think several others did the same. I have an SRS light and my horn hasn't worked for more than 2 weeks str8. I have some stuff to fix it now when I get a chance. I got sparco horn buttons. This way I can use a loop tab on the end of the wire and ground with a screw holding the wheel to the hub. The momo grounding point has a gap for our cars, so it's best to use another ground for the horn. just touch your ground wire in places and see if the horn works. It may not work when touching to the wheel, but put a screw thru the hole, put the loop connector on the screw then get it started. Start the others until you get them all tight, then the ground wire should be making contact so the horn will work. It's a pain to get the horn to work.

Thanks a lot guys. I gave up on trying to unclip the wire harnesses so I guess I did what most others did. I cut the wires off and now I have the SRS light on. As for the horn, probably mine's gone as I touched the wires everywhere and it didn't work.
To try get rid of the SRS light, I tried connecting the two wires to a 10 ohm resistor and it didn't work. Just thought this info might help. Hehe. Again, thanks a million.

you have to fix the wire to a switch that has a ground wire. The horn will sound when grounded. splice a wire into your stock horn wire to a switch. ground the switch. I grounded my ground wire with the screw on the wheel. With 1 wire, nothing will happen. It has to have a ground.
