#38145, "Rear wiper??"

My rear window wiper just didn't work one day. It was raining so I went to turn it on and nothing happened. When I push the button for the sprayer it works but the blade will not move at all. Anyone else have this problem? If so how did you fix it? Thanks.

probably a bad connection, the wiper motor or maybe the blade is just really bad. Does it even try to move or just nothing happens?

Nothing happens at all. Not even the slightest bit of effort.

as said above, check the fuses first, then while a friend hits the switch listen to see if you can hear the motor running at the wiper. if you can, theres probably somthing disconnected or somthing wrong with the motor. if you dont hear anything, the motor might be dead, or youll have to do some troubleshooting in the wiring, as somthing may be loose. i wrote a little bit about how to determine what wire is what in another post in this section (think it was called "wiring help", or somthing similar) a couple days ago, so you can go back a page or two and find that. that might help you in case theres a wiring problem, but its still going to suck to figure it out.

i say just screw it. ive never used my rear wiper once in the 3 years ive had my car. if the back window is fogged up or has ice i just wipe it off with my sleeve or an ice scraper.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

Yeah, I was pretty sure that it would be a hassle if there was somthin in the wiring, I havn't had time yet to check for sure, but if it is I'm just going to take your advice and say "screw it" cause its not really that big of deal, its just annoying as hell to having somthing in your car not working.
