Do you have to remove all of the HVAC stuff under the dash to be able to remove it? if so what is the best way to go about doing this? is the heater core gonna be a problem cause i know coolant runs into it but i don't know much else about it. THX

okay i think all i need now is the 2 12mm bolts on the passanger side. the ones way up top that are hard to get to. how did you go about gettin those 2 out? i could get a socket to the closest one but not enough room to actually get it on there.

just to add here: do NOT attempt to remove the hvac controls. it is virtually imposible(well, it may be a bit easier without the dash there). just wanted to save you some time, money, and bruises.
not sure if it would solve your problem or not, but do you have one of those flexible ratchet extentions? the bend in all kinds of ways so that the socket does not have to line up with the wrench. you can pick them up at any hardware tore or car store for a few bucks.

thanks for the info. i got the dash off, i had already removed the hvac controls but i thought i was gonna have to remove the whole system(ducts,blower,ect..). i didn't remove the steering wheel, it won't effect the SRS clockspring if i do will it?

Ehhhhh on the srs thing....your gonna have to make sure it is set back exaclty like it was if you do take off ur steering wheel. I took mine off and was fuckin with my clock spring..(i was ammsued watching the numbers line up ) needless to say...i know have the SRS light on. .
Im glad to see you already got the dash out. Many people here seem to have lotsa trouble doing it. I remember before i came here and i was searchin AOL profiles for eclipses...and asked the some random people how to get the dash out....you wont believe the answer i got.
---i guy said it was impossible cause it was put in my a machine and was wedged in there so as it would never come out
--- another guy told me i had to take out my entire windsheild to get out the dash!!
When ur puttin the dash back in....your gonna have many extra screws and bolts....i gotta a whole hefty bag full of em.

:+ after i got it off i realized that the 12mm bolts didn't even need to come out. if only i had about $1300 that dash wouldn't be going back in. i be like 'hey MotoFool break me off a piece of carbon fiber for that dash'. that stock dash is kinda heavier than i thought it would be. i could clean out my garage and probably have enough cash but i'm gonna save up parts until i can just get a frame and build the whole thing from extra parts }>

yea noone seems to have any money for the cf or fg stuff now odd huh?
You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.
If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good. If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast. If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.
