I'm doing the custom shifter mod,by monday it will be done, I'll post some pics probably thursday of it when I get my new digital camera,I'm pretty excited,I've heard some good reviews on this mod.

i had it done but i didn't really even notice a diffence. we took out 1 1/4".

really, have you used short shifters before?,me i've never had one so there will be some difference,maybe a little,but anythings better than my walking stick of a shifter, and it does look better than stock height,would changing out the "bushings",on the shifter or tightning the bolts help.i'm not a tool head,and i'm limited on my knowledge of automobile expertice.

yeah i have used s/shifter before maybe it just wasn't as much as i was expecting. the height of it is nice though. and check your mail

why dont you just cut it in the middle and weld the two pieces back together

check out the upper part of the post, i am chopping out the middle, but i'm also going to try and re taper the top part and re-thread it for an even shorter shifter
