you put it in the oven for 4 minutes at 350 degrees farenhieght. Then take em out by pulling the clear part away from the black. the sealant that held them togeather tunsr gooey when heated. To seal them just reverse the process

Everyone seems to have a different temp/time....

I did mine in the oven at 250 for 5-7 minutes....

Then you just pull them apart with the help of a straight screwdriver. The rest will be pretty obvious once you are in there. You can just unscrew the part you want to paint and it comes right out so no taping involved.

Good luck!!

I did not have to primer it or anything....I just did like 3 coats of color matched paint and it worked out pretty well.

be careful with altezzas. the plastic is cheaper and melts. when i did it, i noticed it was staring to melt and turned down the heat a little. just something to know before you try it. and i used no primer on mine either, just a few coats of paint.

when i painted those on the web page, i used a base of high heat black paint and then a few coats of regular semi-flat black krylon

altezzas- use a flat head screwdriver and a butter knife. Be careful, but push the clear tabs down with the screwdriver, and get the butterknife between the housing and the clear lens. Pry it up 1 tab/section at a time. That's how I got my center open when I tried paintng it. Didn't break anything either.

1999 Eclipse RS
The most common color I think, but I keep it clean. (minden silver pearl)
