#37310, "Passenger seatbelt doesn't *click* ?!?"

So my fiance and I are riding around McLean in the eclipse the day before last. As I came to a stop on Rt7 at the Spring Hills Rd light, she leans forward a bit 'cause I was a bit stiff on the brakes and I hear a *click* from the seatbelt on her side and it pops free. It didn't zip back up b/c the seatbelt lock engaged when I hit the brakes. Needless to say we were both a bit bothered by the lack of safety there. Once we got home, we did a bit more testing and found that 9 out of 10 times I could fasten the seatbelt and pull it free by hand!! WtF?!

Replacing the seatbelt isn't a big deal. I'm only worried that the receiver is attached to the seat rather than the floor (like STi seats in WRX). If I have to replace the seats then it's time for some race seats. Any advice would be appreciated.

yeah the connecting part is on the seat, not the Chassis. You may want to try really cleaning it out with a cue tip or a vaccum. Its probably got something stuck in it so it wont click
