This is a continuation of my original post in the "General 2GNT" section regarding keeping everything with the same brand.
So far it appears as though the cleanliness of the install is the most important factor, which is about what I thought anyways. Keeping everything brand-related is probably only going to be helpful with regards to possibly getting sponsorships (which I know is probably a whole other, massive, topic).
My only other real question is the order of completion and progression. My current car guy (best friend.. not a DSM expert, but knows his way around quite nicely) says the best solution is to do engine then interior, then exterior. Since I'm not as concerned about going fast and the engine mods I want to do, for the most part, are relatively non-invasive (putting a better set of headers on is - I think - probably the most invasive thing on my list), I'm wondering if it would seem stupid to be doing things a little bit at a time, in a rather random order, saving the paint-job as the aboslutely last step?
Bear in mind, I'm also using this to learn about cars and modding in general and plan to take on another project after this is over (most likely an Acura made for nicely cruising for my wife and I, nothing fancy, just clean).

If your going to put your car in shows, then I would do the exterior first. Your not going to get much attention with a stock looking car on the outside and a built engine under the hood. But if you plan on waiting until your car is completely done to enter it in shows, then it would really be up to you wherever you want to start.
