I didn't remove the fuse. Went fine. If you take out the fuse tho, does the srs light come on still? And will removing 1 airbag make the other one not work? These are things I wat to know. I didn't disconnect the battery that long. Maybe 10 minutes. By the time u gather tools, get the bolts out, and unhook the clip, it will be closer to 15. I was nervous the whole time. Scared it was gonna pop, but it didn't b/c I did what people told me. Disconnect the - battery terminal, and you're fine. I actually disconnected + and -. emoji

if you remove one airbag, without adding a 3ohm resistor , the srs-light will go on, and the other airbags won´t work!if you remove the fuse too. the only thing you can make is adding a 3ohm resistor but :NO WARRENTY!

where would the resistor go? Could I slap it onto the end of the wire where I disconnected the airbag? Is it that easy? If so, I'm doing this in the next few days.

yes slap it there ,but ask satan !! i don´t know if the resistor is the right size worldwide!
they use a resistor-wire to test the srs-system specially the airbags, cause they can´t use voltage on airbags!
if you pull the airbag-connection out, the wire will have a "closed loop"so you must use the connection to connnect the resistor at this point of wire!

i hope you really can understand what i mean,...

yeah, by removal, the current is disrupted, so the resistor gives it a flow so that the srs light is fooled. right?

hmm well I cut a blue and brown wire when I took my wheel off so just solder a 3ohm (jeez thats not a lotta resistance) resistor between the blue and brown wire together and no more SRS light and if we don't want the air bag to function at all just take the SRS fuse out and solder that resistor in to kill the light?
