i've been looking for a roll cage that doesn't require you to cut your rear speaker grills. anyonw know of a brand that looks a little cleaner, or where to get one?

Oh I know a cheap roll cage you can put wherever. Its called "Painted PVC piping". Its SOO lightweight! You can construct it to do anything. Oh yes....

I got banned for being a constant tard.

as far as i know, you can't get prefab roll bars like that. you would have to go with a custom job. by the way i am assuming you mean roll bars not roll cage.

don't they make those monkey bars for us? Personally, I see no point in installing bars that won't do anything except add weight or cosmetics. PVC is all good until someone leans in ur car and tries to use it to support their weight. Then you're gonna get clowned. I say go with the autopower roll bar and get some speaker boxes or something that could mount to the bar.

the monkey bars will stiffen the chassis for body flex not to mention keep u alive if u hit somthing ill have them eventually but thats cause i will have to have them to run at the track.

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.

why not use aluminum diamond plate or some carbon fiber and fit it to the hole somehow and have the bar go through it? And since yours is welded in, make 2 pieces with a half circle, then connect them around it. It'll look better than having a big hole imo. Make it just like the speaker grills. The same tabs, etc. It may require some time, but it can be done. Aluminum plate would be easiest to work with I think.

do you think it would look okay if i use the aluminum plate in 2 pieces and had them welded down the seam? or should i just have it tack welded in 2 or 3 places?

so i'm guessing that you can't buy a manufactured roll bar that doesn't go into the rear speakers. i need the roll bars for racing at the track, but i don't want to sacrifice my sound.

if you just upgrade your front speakers and put a box in the back it'll sound just fine. i had 2 rockford fosgate DVC 8" with 300watts running to each. it sounded really nice and balanced but some cocksmoker stole it after i had it for a month. but if that doesn't matter just put a box in your trunk and pull it when your at the track.

How fast are you running, exactly, that you need to have a cage? Or are you racing something other then the 1/4 mile?

Track's only require a cage for 11.99's and less, good luck getting to that speed as it's been done by one company with an RS/GS/Esi, HRC.

There is usually a company that could weld you a cage how ever you want it in pretty much any city in the US. Look around in the yellow pages for metal shops and what not.
