I was wondering has anyone on this forum cut their coil springs (stock ones) to lower their car? I have heard that it makes them stiffer (in my book thats good) but my question is if I lower my car a good 1.5" by diong this will a mechanic shop be able to align the car correctly so that my tires arent destroyed in a month? Also I do have some new adjustable gas shocks to replace the stock ones...\

Also one more question is has anyone re hinged their hood to get it to open from the back instead of from the front? If so what does it take and how hard is it to do?

Well if you have the cash to make your NA 420a engine have that much horsepower and still stay NA, why can't you afford to do it right and get coilovers? Cutting springs is cheap and very very ricey.

Dunno about the hood tho.

cutting springs make them very bouncy. bouncy equals dangerous. use a little common sense. They wouldn't make aftermarket springs if all you had to do was cut your stock ones.
