hey all i know that we have all been waiting on various places to come out with a kit for out cars. well i have the solution, i chatted with a guy around feb about making a kit that would be easy to adapt of virtually any car, we conversed alittle and with his knowledge of fiero kit cars came up with a kit. it does require some welding and stuff but can be put on just about anything. i about fell out. what i have been waiting for. the kit comes with everything 2 hinges shocks and all the mounts to make it happen. it even has pics and good instructions and some tips to installing it. im gonna get the 2nd set. he already has 1 kit in play on a fiero. the funny thing is he manufactures these hinges for various kit car companies and so he modded the hinge alittle. he also said that there is companies that get his hinges for theirs. so the decah kit will use them. best of all he said that hed get the kit to me for like 900. i was like wow sounds definately better than 1500 for something that will never come out. just figured id let u all know who have been patiently awaiting a glimmer of light on the subject. let me know if any of u want some so i can let him know just how popular this is.

he said to get about 3 or 4 peeps so he could get those brackets made all at once at the machine shop. he said he has to do them in 3 or more so the cost of all the set up will even out to cost around 900 for the kit. you will have to get access to a welder and that will be alittle work but not as much as we have now. so let me know if you want it. email me direct and we will keep tabs. shit this is ben blacks lambo shop emoji at least it is ready to go.

when you guys get those working let us know how well they seal up. It looks like a cool idea but I really doubt you'll get your windows to seal correctly and you'll get mad wind noise. hope it works out

well....they sell fiero door kits like whoa, and since fiero's are used commonly in lamborghini kit cars, then i am sure it is relatively easy to get them to work. See if he can post up some pics, or e-mail out directions so we can actually see it works, if they are of sound quality and whatnot, I am definately down. How much would shipping be to 06360 on em?? emoji.

its interesting to see the response on these. also it seems that it is interesting that other companies are starting to notice what we want. so i have been contacted by another company making a kit. from the talk on the phone they are on the move and seem to have a good design. supposed to talk to him on wednesday to see how it is going. buck and pilot and myself along with a few others are working on getting this hooked up. street dreams is the first one i have been chattn with. he said that he has to modify the kit. from us talking so that it would adapt to this car. hes talking like 800 for the upgraded kit. not sure if that is sent or not. but i want to make sure it holds our doors up and not fall. know what i mean. so look at piolots post and look at the design and let me know what u think. any ideas to make it better is welcomed.

I believe that in order for these hinges to work on our cars, one would have to trim the bottom left of the door. If you notice, on lamborghini's, the bottom left of the door is designed to be shorter then the top left. This is done so that the bottom part of the door does not hit up against the rear quarter panel of the car. So, we would have to trim the door, and then fill in the hoel that is left. I believe that due to the way our windows seal, one owuld have to get the door to pop out horizontally before the door could be lifted vertically. So i believe you would need to put the hinge on a slider and have a popper, or something similar to pop the door out so you could then push/pull it up. I believe it can be done with these hinges, but its gonna be alot more then jus putting them on and altering a couple things. If I had the time, i KNOW i could get it to work. But i am not all about butchering my car at this moment in time, and i don't have an extra $1k layin around just in case i am wrong.

buck u r exactly right. from talking to him and if you look at a fiero door (link that piolot did) the door actually pops out like an inch. and then slides up. knowing that it would clear our frame on the rear of the door. he also said that it could be adjusted to pop out more if we needed them to. i was curious about that also. im not into hacking up anymore.
as for guine pig farm, look at the video feed on that sight and see how it all works. this isnt for the faint of heart, this mod is very unique. thats y i love it so because not many have it. the hinge work and brackets have all bee layed out and he did all the experimantation so we dont have to. as long as u have some knowledge of a welder and stuff i dont think it will be tuff.
email me guys at my hotmail account. widebodyeclipse@hotmail.com
im getting everything together and placing on thursday latest.

If the guy was near me and offered to let me drive a lil piece of shit car while he hacked mine, I would willingly let him do it on my car. But i won't just buy hinges hoping they will work right. I know that i have the know-how to do it, and between me and a few friends i have the abilities to do it as well. I'll prolly jus end up doin sumthin totally different with my doors, eventually when i have another car and can jus fukk around with this one. emoji Jus wait till BuckNutty Customs comes out.

EDIT: Methinks that lamborghini doors are too passe. Perhapse i shall invent something new :o Me has an idea n whatnot emoji
