#35841, "Thanks KaptianM for the excellent writeups!! Pictures!"

Just did my front grill last night following Kaptain Mykes writeup that he posted a while back and it turned out pretty good. Sorry it was a bit dark when I took the pics so they aren't fantastic...

Tell me what ya think!!

Very good looking, do you have a link to that writeup I can get? I have been wanting to do that myself...

For those looking for the writeup just do a search in this section for

kmyke

and you will find all of his writeups....I used the one for removing the bumper and one for the grill.

The one for the bumper was a little different from what you will find on a 97-99 but it def gets you on the right track.

I really considered color matching the grill and I still may end up doing it but I wanted to see how this looked first. Its alot easier to paint it than to remove the paint. emoji

Thanks for the comments guys... As far as the headlights go that was one of my favorite mods on the car as far as looks. I love it and get lots of praise for it....It was kinda hard to get used to at first. I suppose its all personal preference. emoji

Acutally I really like the way youve done your headlights, I have a question though how did you mask it off to get the liner so perfect?

same way i did and the way alot of us did. take off the headlight. heat up the headlight. open the headlight. unscrew the housing. paint the housing. reinstall the housing. close the headlight. and reinstall the headlight. many have done it and it looks good.

Yeah like ^^^^ said....

There is actually no masking involved. That entir plastic piece just comes right out so its really easy to paint.
