#35728, "Ideas for my car -- need advice"

This spring I'm going to be getting a full body kit. I'm thinking I want to go with the Streetfyter front end, Blitz2 sides, and Blitz rear. But I'm unsure about the sides and rear...

Any advice, or suggestions?

to be honest with you i wouldnt get a body kit, your car is so clean and nice. i would just worry about the finer details like some racing seats a carbon fiber hood a FMIC a big brake kit..etc you get the point. anymore i like a clean car with attention to detail better than a kitted out car where u cant tell what it is

traded in my 99 2g RS for a Titanium Pearl 03 3g GT
mods:AEM CAI[]energy suspension shifter bushing[]Short shifter[] MOMO f16 evo carbon/titanium shift knob[] DM Motor Mounts

Im not up on all the kit names these days, but on visracing.com Ive had my eye on the Strada F1 kit. Im sure everyone calls it something different I just don't know the lingo. My advice and I am sure you know is don't go cheap. Get good stuff and have it put on/painted right. BTW I saw a silver eclipse the other day all kitted up (full blitz kit) and it looked GOOD. As clean as your car is I am sure it will look great.

im also gonna have to not agree on getting a body kit.. and think you should just concentrate on the engine.. youve already got a clean looking car, but hey.. its your car, so do what you will.

I agree with not getting a body kit too, but im sure i would get tired of the stock look after long a long time, i just think why would you want to ruin a good thing?

Well, I know I'm getting the streetfyter front end. It isn't too crazy, yet it's still aggressive. By the time I invest in a kit (spring), I will already have a FMIC and misc engine parts (BOV, TurboTimer, Missing Link) -- Anyhow I just need some conservative sidesskirts and rear.

Right now my stock sideskirts are actually a tad faded from years of sunlight..and you can only notice in certain lights..and it pises me off. So I need fresh paint...might as well get some simple skirts..Blitz2's are nice (the low ones) -- and maybe a set of skirts for the rear, instead of a rear bumper...I dunno..

street fighter front, kaminari sides, and the rudora rear.
with those, your car will be clean, but it will have an edge to it and get noticed. The more I think about that combo, the more I love it. the kaminari sides are like type 2's, but smoother. wish I woulda got them.

If it's a body kit that you want, then a body kit you should get! I personally like these side skirts the best!

Blitz type 2 sides and rear! haha i'm biased because that's what I have. But rudora sides are really nice, just a bit of a pain to install. The rudora rear is really low, so I probably wouldn't get that. Here's a pic of the blitz 2 sides and rear on my car...

Yeah, Im really liking the Rudora sides and rear...Im wondering tho if Rudora sides would look odd with Doorcaps...because I dont want to have to shave any holes. The Rudora rear is badass, but so is the Blitz...Why do you think the Rudora rear is low? It doens't look any lower than the Blitz to me..

no offense, but I have never liked that rear. Too much emptiness above the plate. Actually and honestly tho, it looks good on your color. I have seen others tho, and it's just whack as hell. Your car's clean tho. Never seen it on silver either. I still think you should go with my combo I picked out. It'd be original, not many people would or have mixed and matched like that, and it seems like a clean match up. here's a pic of the sideskirts.

i would think you could custom make something for the type R kit for the door caps, i think they would look pretty sweet on there if you fiberglassed something to make it smoother looking
