I might try that ArmorAll stuff. I have to scub and scub until my arm goes numb and it still only helped a little. This pisses me off pretty badly. I hate bugshit!

depends. i clean my car with reg car soap stuff and an old shower/beach towel. if you actaully scrub it with the towel most stuff comes out. any little scuffs are taken care of with either goo gone, concetrate orange cleaner or a lil acetone used carefully. in any case i rewash the spot i tried to clean so my paint doesn't flake off

thanks beefgg for the sig

go to paint supplies- like house paint in wal-mart or lowes, where ever. Get a can of this stuff called oops. It's clear coat safe and removes just about anything off ur paint or off ur carpet, etc. It's the best shit u can get imo. I always make sure I have some for car shows.

it removes latex paint. It'll remove paint as long as it isn't clear coated. I have used it since 99. It hasn't harmed my car. I just use it on a rag/towel to wipe off tar, bugs, hard to get off stuff. It is clear coat safe. I also spray over the area I clean with meguiar's quik detailer to make sure tho. This way it probably gets any excess "oops" off the paint. It's clear coat safe tho. The stuff is no joke. It's a must have when cleaning a daily driver up. Clear coat safe= it won't take off paint after it's clear coated. emoji

waxing over bugs and tar? Wouldn't that kinda seal them in? Or make it harder to get the wax off? I would get all that stuff off, then use the wax. Maybe use a clay bar. That is for removing contaminants and stuff.

use a clay bar. That should take off everything from bug guts to tree sap to dirt thats been absorbed into your clear coat for who know how long. Rewax afterwards and you'll be happy.
