ok has anyone else noticed that the light in the glove box is tapped into your parking lites? or is it just on my car? like it comes on when you open the glove box but only if your parking lites are on. does that seem kinda dumb to anyone else? maybe it's just me but i'm usually lookin for stuff in there when the car's parked w/ lights off. i think i'm gonna rewire it an tap into the constant power. just wonderin if everyone else's car is like that.

okay, i was wrong. i just checked it and your right it doesn't come on unless you have your light on. i guess its because the mitsubishi people thought that if your lights aren't on, you have sunlight and don't need the glovebox lite.

*ahem* not really man...
your trunk light should come on every time the trunk is open....mine does....

think about it, who's going to have the headlights on when you're digging in the trunk.....

yup...trunk light should come on everytime, the glove box light comes on all the time w/ the parking lights, not just when its open. i found this out when i drove around without a glovebox for a week.

yeah mine's the same way. as far as the trunk light. check the clip for the connection. mine seems to be loose alot and only comes on when it wants too. i was gonna try to get rid of the harness and solder it straight to the connection that way it comes on when it's open.

no actually it comes on only when the parking lites are on AND you have the glove box open. but i know what you're talkin 'bout driving w/ the glove box off. i did that it's b/c there's a switch that activates when the box is open. if you take off the glove box it's the same as having it open. you can see the switch on that metal bar that the box gets mounted to. so no, the lite's not always on when you turn on your parking lites. just when your lites are on and the box is open. emoji

haha i still think it's dumb though. i'm gonna tap into the constant power later when i've got the time.
