Kinda sucks having to lift hood and prop the metal bar up to support it... thought this would be pretty trick...

If you've seen a late model Z28's hood up, youd notice it doesn't use em,, it has these^^ support struts... I'd like to do something similar... how tough would it be? the main thing I'm concerned with is where theyd mount in the engine bay... i cant remember where they go when the hood is down on the Z28's.... I'll have to check friends car... mmeh.

ill post again if/when its done!! emoji

this has been posted befor. you will have to cut a hell of alot and you still wont get it to work. On cars with struts they have lil wells for them to lay in and we dont. Also there is no spot to mount them unless you put them in the middle of the engine bay

RReeaaallly

humh

that sux

what about making little three legged brackets that extend from the sides of engine bay out like an inch or three away from the sides,, mount them there?
<edit>

wait.. why not just use the damned strut tower brace? I've got one... just a lot of unused real estate for something like this..

the only boundary is whether there's actually clearance between brace/mount points on the bar..
