ok..the main vent panels and some other panels inside myc ar..i have spraypainted numerous times for stupid reasons..first silver..then re-did it all..cause 1 piece was messed up..then i messed it up more..then i tried to sand it all down..didn't do too well..so i changed it to a blue color..looked good..but the blue started to crack due to heat and sun..so i sanded it again..went back to silver..so there are like 5 different types of paint on my plastic center pieces..is there anyway to strip all the paint off? Would a big bucket of paint remover work? If so, how long should i soak it in there? would it hurt the plastic? Thanks..later

I used paint stripper. Not paint remover, but paint stripper. Put it back to normal. But ifyou mess up itll go right through the plastic too, and youll be wiping off paint and also your plastic. So theres probably a more better gooder way out there.

>same thing happen to me. blk to white to blk to yellow to tan and now red. so far red is doing pretty good now, no fading nor cracking.
i tell u now ur not gonna be able to get all paintoff,and if u do/try, it will be a looooonnngg process. i advise u to sand it down smoothly. its gonna look crapy but smooth. then spray paint with a LIGHT layer,let it dry then repeat till it looks good. take ur time. i also advis u to take parts out that u wanna paint. makes things much neater. i'll post pics soon. mine looks pretty damn good i might say. thats backed up by all the responses i get. Oh yeah, spray alooottt of clear coat to keep it from cracking and getting dirty.
