Can that only be done on projectors? I mean..... Is anyone who reads this going to try it on normal headlights? Im interested in trying... Put it around where the brights are. The problem is normal hedlight shines so ugly, stock, because its not projector. Its all over the place. Might look odd with a nice circle angel eye right next to it....

I got banned for being a constant tard.

Im gonna go to the Depot and get the shit I need for this. If it doesn't look right then I will take them out. The only hard part I see is the shapeing of the ring. I don't think the outer part of the highbeam is round so I might have to play with it a bit. Just for future refrence it might take me a little while to get this done. I am off of work this Friday and Saturday so I will try to get most of this done quick, but I will give an update as soon as posible. I am gonna to try to make the halo with a green led. Hope the green works.

will post more pics when front is painted

I agree to an extent. Angel eyes are strictly BMW, and strictly the newer ones. So its clear that theres copying going on towards a nicer car. But, these arent full circle angel eyes, athey are like half or whatever. Is that a big difference? No. People who know the idea wont be able to seperate it from what this mod is, and it will look like copying.

On the other hand, although angel eyes are strictly BMW, they arent used on all bmw's and arent that well known. Many people who see it will think its unique and not have a thought of bmw.

Im in the middle. I like it, but knowing a few people will laugh at me sort of kills it. Now I think alot more people would think its great compared to people not liking it, but for me, those few people just ruin the fun and I wouldnt do it just for that reason. if I saw it though, whether on a dsm or honda or whatever, I would think its nice despite it being from BMW. ANd I think that guy's crx looks very nice with them, very clean and different.

I got banned for being a constant tard.

Thanks silvereclipsers for being on my side of this. I know if it looks shity people are gonna tell me, but if it looks dope people will say nice mod. If you didn't want to do your hedlights then you could do the center piece on the altezza's or all of them (which might be easier) or even the rings around the foglights. It really comes down to what the person wants because they are the one's that have to drive the car around. I admit it might look ricey but we will never know untill someone does it on an eclipse/talon and decide for themselves.....After reading what I typed I think I won't do the headlights, I have been sitting here thinking of what the tails would look like with this. I have carbon fiber altezza's and my car is green so what do you think of green rings in the center since they don't light up. I guess I will have to do it and find out what it looks like. If it looks good then I will post the pics but if it doesn't then you will never see them.

Any suggestion's on the color would be nice so help me out fella's

I made my own angel eyes last summer. They turned out really well. I used my 95-96 headlights. I loved them. Took them off the car because I needed the 97-99 lights for a blitz kit emoji Go for it!! If you like it do it!

1995 Eclipse GS - Urethane Blitz Kit, VIS CF Invader hood, CF Wing, CF TYC Euro lights, Kamikaze Header, Dual Exhaust, 97-99 headlights, Nitrous Wet Kit, (2) Alpine Type R

I wasnt being a 'hater'. I was just saying how others may view it. As I said, if I saw it on a car Id love it. And I thought it looked great on that CRX on the website. I was just saying how others may view it. Also, how could you call the fake bov guy a hater??? yeah I thought so.

I agree the possibilites are endless. So no one answered, is anyone going to try this on non projectors? I mean stock headlights?

kinda got me thinkin too. maybe on the stock headlights you could do a sort of internal eyebrow across the top. or maybe get real ricey with it and put em around your speedo and tach? the idea being not so much to bite off a Bmer, but to take that idea and do something more creative and subtle

DOH! I was gonna surprise everyone with them. I've got my set made finally, I've been experimenting with different types of wands for the past 2 weeks, only 1 type will work well.. emoji - and I am installing them this weekend. It isn't as easy as it looks, its very tedious. The dremel markings must be spaced very evenly, and the LED's fitment has to be just right. I'm going to do mine on the low beams, and have them run along with my sidemarkers while the headlights are off; then once the headlights are turned on you won't be able to see them. I'll post pics Monday and Tuesday, if everything goes as planned.

Here are some shots of what I have ready, not installed yet...

Here is a shot with my room light on....

Then here with the lights off...

And a close up of both..

p.s. Ahem...who knows how to take the headlights off without removing bumper? Please fill me in w/detials to save me hours of work..

EDIT: Forgot to mention - these look way better in real life, and contrary to most pics, imperfections are actually easier to see in the pics....both rings look identical to the human eye..yet the pics make them look a tad different....anyhow..pics soon emoji

holy shit ryan make me 4 I'll buy them of you, how much did it cost to make? I was thinking of taking stock tail lights and then putting angel eyes as the brake lights, it would look sweet.

wow that's awesome. i wouldn't mind trying this either.

How come you guys didn't put the notches all the way to the ends...to make a complete circle? Ryan? Does it only work when you make it a half-ring? I would prefer a complete circle imo

I like the idea of eyebrows with the stock headlights.

If you can't find the stuff at Home Depot you can always order from www.McMaster.com They have Acrylic and Polycarbonate(Lexan) rods of all diameters.

You can go al the way around, but every line in the wand allows light to escape...making the overall ring dimmer. I think will my setup, it will give off an agressive look.

If you want a set e-mail me

You could make a killing for a few months, until people who buy it start selling it. Remember, you sell one, then thats you and him selling. You both sell one, thats you, the guy, and your new buyer and his new buyer selling them. It just keeps multiplying.

Plus since such a good right up is already all over the net, ebayer's will only sell to those that don't want to do it themselves.

Clear blind wands = $7
4 Blue LightEmittingDiodes's = $17
Electrical tape = $4
Total = ~$30

Time = 2 hours

Making these rquires lots of time. Having to heat the plastic and mold it perfectly, then space nice cuts with the dremel, drilling hold in the ends for LED's, mounting LED's....it all adds up -- hopefully it will be worth it..

You've got mail........As far as the headlight removing, I think it can be done by just taking out the black piece in the fender well, and pulling it out through the back. I am just going by what I have heard and I have never tried it myself so don't quote me on this.

will post more pics when front is painted

You guys probably figured it out but you can take the headlight off without removing bumper. Got those screws on top and in the back, then one under the headlight. If youre careful you can get a ratchet under the headlight, above the bumper, and unscrew it then lift the headlight right out.

Yeah, put me down for a set too.

I've been thinking about doing this for a while now. I think it'll look great with the G2 dual projectors, or maybe with the altezzas in the back (can you take the plastic off on those?).
