my old bulbs were 50 and 51 watt bulbs for my stock lights. now i'm running 80+ watts in there. buddy of mine ran 100 watts and had a problem with his burning out. he had to buy a new socket for each light and rewire it in. so i say stick with something under a 100 watts. that's my advice.

Basically, bulbs will DRAW a certain amount of power and put OUT a certain amount. Stock bulbs draw 55 watts, and most aftermarket hiper white bulbs draw 80 to 85 watts and will put out 130/100 watts. The 130 is for high beams I believe, and 100 for low beams. What you're mainly concerned with is the amount of power it draws. The high wattage (80-85 watt) bulbs may melt your harness - one of mine melted, but the other was completely fine. I guess it's luck. Here are the bulbs I have in my car:

When one of my harnesses melted, I just electrical taped it tight together, and it's been fine for the past couple of years.
