What would be the basics i would need to do my own welding holes closed, filling the holes, sanding down adn repainting? I want to take off my stock spoiler on my talon, the thumbnail one =/ but dont know if it would be cheaper to do myself or not. thanks

You need to be able to weld sheet metal to cover up the holes, then grind it smooth and use bondo or marglass to smooth it out. Then keep sanding, repeating the process and making sure there are no ripples in the body work. I wouldn't do it myself. It's pretty time consuming, which is why I didn't shave my wing.

Basicaly what he said but I would not try painting it yourself. If you do the welding make sure to spot weld arond the sheet metal so you don't warp the metal, basicaly just don't get the metal too hot. When I did my rear wiper hole I warped it and now I got to beat it with a hamer and re do the bondo and sanding part

i have a lightweight hatch u could use and not have to drill anything jsut have your glass installed ata galss shop in the hatch and install it...
they come in cf witha clearcoat like hoods or fiberglass preped for paint or not..
You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.
