#34370, "leaking sunroof is going to make me kill someone......"
I finally found out why and where my sunroof is leaking. The actual roof part itself (the big thing that slides) has about 6 spots where holes have rusted through under the weather striping that goes around the entire piece. The water comes in through these holes and misses the tracks that are designed to remove water from that area. Instead the water drips down onto the sun shade and pools there. When I start to drive I get a cup full of water on my lap and sometimes the passenger's lap too. The car is a 96, I have 59,000 miles on it, and the sunroof has rusted through..... WTF?
Are there any recalls or TSBs for this? I wonder what the dealer will say.

same thing happened to me. I have a 95 RS. I did'nt even mess with it anymore and sealed the sunroof up with silicone sealant. It hasn't leaked in over a year. oh well, not water, but no sunroof.

Yeah I was thinking of filing down the rusted parts and spraying that rust remover / sealant stuff to fix it. After it has sealed, I am going to fill the rusted holes with silicone or polyurathane sealant. This way the sunroof will operate normally, but the water will not be able to leak outside of where it is supposed to go.
