#34342, "Anyone have a parts car with power windows and door locks?"

I'm currently converting my car to all power...mirrors, windows, locks, etc. Does anyone have the harneses for these items. I have the door switches.

I am also interested in all the parts for cruise control. I've posted in the sales wanted section before but more people visit here.

just buy some aftermarket power windows an locks. it's really not that hard. the alarm shop put in my locks but i know i coulda done it. i just let them b/c they had to hook it up to the alarm anyways. power windows i did myself. (just did my power trunk release too in case you're really gonna go ALL power). windows is pretty easy. then you can do fun stuff like me an put the window switches in the center console area. hehe. makes more sense if you've got a 5spd... power lock kits are pretty cheap. like $30-40 i think. windows w/ switches was a little under $200. i think that's easier than tryna get a hold of factory stuff. works great too. oh the power trunk was like $20 i think... not sure. check out www.slickcar.com got my stuff from them. good service.

Well, i have the GST door panels and now I have the window/lock switches. I'm trying to get ahold of the harness that plugs into those.

ohh ic... there's not like a lotta stuff you gotta do inside the door too besides the panels and switches? don't ya need like all the solenoids an stuff?

oh ya as far as a harness you might not even need it if you can figure out the wiring. my aftermarket switches are the 6 pin type. 1 for ground, 2 for positive, 1 for parking lites (their illuminated switches), an the 2 that connect directly to the window motor. i'm pretty sure most switch work in a simliar way. if it's not illuminated it prolly has 5 pins. it's really jsut a relay built into the switch that changes the polarity of the current flowing to the motor. current one way - window goes up. current the other way - window goes down. it's the same concept w/ the door lock too. current one way - locks. current the other way - unlocks. hehe not too complicated emoji
