Does anyone know a site that has these? I thought about getting one for my car and I wanted to know if they have to be car-specific or if they are universal. I have been having ideas with this and want to look at some. If you have a link, pics, etc I appreciate it. And please answer the question, or try to stay on topic this time. In case you don't know what a splitter is, the front splitter is like a front lip. The one on the eclipse in the new super street has one I think. The rear isn't like that, but the same principle. The rear will be more of a rear lip than anything. Probably with ridges in it, or fins sticking out or down. TIA!

i could have sworn you posted one of these posts earlier, but now i cant find it, anyways, what would it do? does it serve any function? or is it like the str rear bumper air grills?

It is supposed to help aerodynamics by lifting the rear or pushing down on the rear, depending on the style of it I think. Helps air move out from under the car better is what they say. I think it's mainly for looks. Yeah, the post early got overrun by BS. I had it deleted so I could try and get an answer to my question.

well, it would have to pull down instead of up, no one would buy anything that lifted your rear end at high speeds, that would make your car impossible to handle, ya know? driving 70mph and your rear wheels start to lift up, scary. anyways, why not cut your rear bumper and add some mesh so it would get rid of that air

b/c imo if a bumper isn't molded for that, like rolled in, it looks nasty. Lots of race cars have splitters, they aren't gonna lift the back too much. I think it's more for getting air out from under the car to cut back on air getting trapped in the back and holding the car back. Would this be drag??

Actually the splitter would look really nice with a high bumper like the blitz rear...as for the splitter itself it just helps circulate the air better at really high speeds...what i mean is after about 130 miles an hour or higher because every car has a wall of air they need to pass through in order to get to extreme speeds and that splitter would help in terms of underbody wind circulation if your wanting to go those speeds...but hey I think splitters are nice...I say look into it and see if you can find something to fit yoour car nicely

i was lookin in the new super street and they have a whole carbon fiber section. jsp makes some cf splitters that go in frony of the rear wheels, i dont think they are on the website because they just came out. im sure if you go to www.jspamerica.com you can find some contact info.

If it’s the diffuser that you’re talking about; it is designed to create down force. But it acts along with the rest of the underbody of the car. The underbody is basically shaped like a wedge with the front lower than the back. As the air enters under the front of the car it expands as it makes it’s way to the back of the car to fill the extra volume. As the air expands it’s pressure drops. What that means now is that the air pressure below the car is less than the air pressure above the car, so the air pressure above the car pushes down on the car. It’s like blowing between two sheets of paper rather then the sheets going away from each other they will actually get pushed together.

exactly what I'm talking about. That kit on asylumms.com that clips onto the stock 97-99 rear. I wish they made a cf one similar. that'd be perfect.
