Can anyone suggest the correct-fitting pedals for this car?! I have a '99 GS, and TRIED to install the SPARCO pedals. It seems that the bar is just off-center on the gas pedal. A mechanic said that he couldn't mount because of this and also due to the thickness of the bar. I'd also like to install a matching foot rest. Any suggestions? Also, am planning to get the Skunk2 coil-overs. Anyone got these things? I was told to use with the ORANGE KONIS. What would you suggest? Who's got the best price? Thanks
orange koni's?, nah use the yellow's which sparco pedals did you get, i am gonna get the chrome smart pedals and i wanna know if these are the ones you couldnt fit
Cyan, I am going to assume that you disconnected your passenger side airbag. I mean witht hose gauges installed in there and all! Did this cause you any problems? Also what did you do about the cruise control, controls when you swapped your steering wheel, assuming you had/have cruise.
Thanks

I have the skunk2's and they are really stiff with KYB GR2 shocks. It hits bumps hard, but won't bounce. The spring rate is 10kg/mm on front, which is over 500 lbs/in. The rears are 8kg/mm which are over 400 lbs/in when converted. You should get KYB or Tokiko shocks because they will fit with the Skunk2. I'm not sure about Koni, but if it has that small spring perch lip that I have seen, then it won't work with the skunk2. Ground Control has a special collar made for the Koni shocks. Good luck.
I just put pedals on the other day.. And now I forgot who made them.. I know it starts with a R.. I will check when I get home.. They were pricey though.. Like 65.00 or 70.00 for all 3 plus the Foot rest.. But I like em so.
The pedals I put on my car (don't remember the brand) fit but the gas pedal went on with just bendable tabs, and it was kinda loose. What I did was: took the screws that held the carbon fiber and yellow pieces to the back piece of the pedal cover, drilled small holes through the whole pedal where I took the screws out(the tabs held the cover in place while I drove), then when I put the yellow and carbon fiber pieces back on I used small bolts and secured them behind the pedal with nuts. If you do this make sure the bolts you use don't extend too far out the back of the pedal, or else you won't be able to get the pedal all the way to the floor.
yeah my airbags are gone, no problems, it was a simple job. i dont have cruise control any more, but i never used it anyway, and also the blinkers dont turn off automatically any more
hehe, i catch my self riding down the road sometimes with old-lady-blinker on. ill flip it on with the radio up and find it 5 miles down the road at the next turn still blinking. whoops...
That's funny Sh*t! I had a mini truck like that! LOL! Thanks for the info!
