I went outside today and unlocked my car and pulled on the handle and the piece of sh*t fell onto the ground. i picked it up and noticed it was just plastic and tried to stick it back in there but no such luck. How much will the dealership charge to fix this?

it happens to all of us. the handle by it self from the dealer is about $75. the guy that runs the parts dept. at my local mitsu dealership told me that when the cars were new and nobody needed the handles they were only $35. he also told me that in the 3 years he has worked there the cost of the door handle has gone up 3 times to $75 cause they are in higher demand. he's a nice guy and gives me everything at wholesale and sometimes he even forgets to charge me. i have no idea what it would cost with installation. i would guess around $200 at the dealers.

Welcome to the broken door handle club! Yeah, I also broke my door handle like around last April. Yeah, u can do it urself. I was able to do it, and I'm already one of those people that wouldn't do/touch anything on the car already. You'll just end up having a lot of scratches. Its basically just common sense I think. And some trial and error. Just remove everything until u get ahold of the door handle. Well, I didn't remove the window though, but its possible. I got the door handle for 60 bux. Satan was gonna charge me 130+ I think for installation. So I'm like, screw that. Well, hopefully u don't have power windows/locks cuz I think it'll be harder to remove all that wiring and shit...

go to your local body shop and they should be able to hook ya up, satan quoted me $300 for the handle, installation and painted, my body shop guy did it for $98 handle, installed, painted, and he washed my car emoji

btw...if you do it yourself, you can do it somewhat easily if you do NOT have power windows/door locks, if you have manual you can, but forget it with power, it SUUUUUUCKS

Do you have an RS or GS? I have a guy down the street that also has handles from a 2g. I think you mailed me about a front. It's the same guy. Mail me, and at least we'll get her back together.

Shit is all apart. Typical...

How do i get inside the thing, how do i get the window crank etc. off w/o breaking it and any other info ineed.
