If I got aftermarket projectors, could I still install that HID kit?
The stock headlights take what kind of bulbs...I forgot, 9006?
The aftermarket projectors take what, H3?
Could someone please clarify this for me, TIA. Im real interested.
And where did you get yur kit, I can only find 6000k kits not 8000k?

I believe that they are bulb specific, not vehicle, so I would think that you could get them int the h-3 size.

i got my kit from www.brucesspeed.com.. it was 360shipped. its a kick ass price for us 2gnters and asog members.. i heard about it from bhomeyer and he hooked me up with the info! thanks bro!

as for the kit it was made for the 9006 replacements but im sure that they make H3 bulb conversions too.

as for the kits that i have seen on ebay, i know that most of the quality brands are going for more than 400 + outrageous shipping prices.. i would stay away from some of the no name brands too. plus these have a year manufacturer's warranty.

the people at bruce's speed shop had some kick ass customer service and i would highly recommend them. they told me that it would get here in 7-10 business days, and it came in 5. <two thumbs up>

but yea, you guys really need to see how great these look... just like looking into the headlights for the benz or beamers.

I just ordered my HID kit today from Brucesspeed.com. Got it for $358 shipped. That's a hell of a price when I saw on the invoice that it lists for $660.

i was just wondering if HID's just have like one setting or do they also have low beam and high beams. also, whats the difference between the 95-96 headlights and the 97-99 headlights?

The difference between the 95-96 headlights from the 97-99 are that the 97-99's are shorter and are black on the inside. HID's are only used on low beams. There is no need to have them on the highbeams eventhough I'm sure that you could buy a second kit for the highbeams but that's just wasting money imo. And, I don't think that they Hanabi HID kit is on their website, you just have to call. You'll probably end up talking to a guy named Bill. He's really cool and very helpful. I hope that this answered your questions.

>>CVedEclipse, Do you have any pics of the beam pattern on a white wall? or down the road pics?<<

i dont have any right now.. but ill try and get some up later tonight.

MCubed45: im not sure if they are for a limited time or not.. but all good things do eventually come to an end.. i would just call them and ask them how long they are willing to hold these prices this low for us. and the HID kit isnt on their site, just give them a call if you have questions about the kit.

>>i was just wondering if HID's just have like one setting or do they also have low beam and high beams. also, whats the difference between the 95-96 headlights and the 97-99 headlights?<<

well.. our cars have a 9005 high beam bulb , which is exactly the same as the 9006 (low beam) except that there is no blacked out tip.. im sure you could get the same kit for the high beams, but i dont know if 350 dollars for high beams is worth it, since we rarely use them, your choice tho.. or you could just get the knock off HID bulbs as high beams, i know they sell 9005 euro-lites for high beams.

sonikbewm: you are going to love your kit!

if you have your fog lights on when you turn your hid's on, does it blow the fuse?? also, when they turn on, do they have that build up to brightness like other hid's do?

sorry, i dont have fogs, so i dont know if the fuse would blow or not... and yes, when you first turn on the hids, they flicker (which look pretty frickin sweet) and then take about 5 seconds to reach full brightness.

I have fogs and no, the fuses do not blow when i turn them on all at the same time.

This is a short video from back when i was using my HIDs with the stock lights before i switched to Hella Projectors.

haha...that's right.I have to turn my fog light only on after my HID are on, otherwise the fuse will blow.

Did you kit come with new relays for the ballasts? My ballasts take power directly from the battery terminals. The new relays are triggered by the stock headlight relays i.e. power is not being drawn fromm the stock wiring to power up the ballast. Maybe you can try that.

haha well i think i solved my problem... i posted another thread regarding bulb size on the dual projectors an apparantly they take the stock size bubls (since you hafta use some parts from your stock headlights on the projectors). i think i'm just gonna order the HID's for the stock bulbs then i can still use them when i order my dual projectors later on... that should work, yes? emoji
