#33545, "rearview mirror question"

ok this might be dumb, but how do you get the rearview mirror off? i didnt want to take the whole thing off...i thought that there was a little base that is glued to the window and then the assembly slides on to that. am i right? cuz i tried to slide it off but it didnt want to come off and i didnt want to push too hard cuz i didnt want to break anything. will it slide off? do i just need to try harder or something?? can it be done without taking the glue off and having to reglue it? TIA

To remove your mirror there is a litte slot on the bottom of the base. Take a small screw diver (flat head). You will need to bend it a litte.Insert driver into slot there is a spring clamp in there you well need to push on the driver and wigel the mirror at the same time. Do not pull on the mirror strat back but at an upper motion. It's on tight. Be carful you can brack the windshield. Just take time and don't be in a hurry. It well come off. Good luck.
