I am a long way off from even worrying about this, but I was thinking while at work. For my eventual quad TB idea. To create a ram air effect. Have a Shaker hood made. If you've ever seen old Mopar's specifically a '71 Cuda you know what I'm talking about.

A smooth hood with the hole for the shaker and have it be an airbox for the Quad TB's. What do you think on looks? I have no clue how much it would cost to make either, any idea on that too?

On the neon board someone has a shaker hood on thier neon
If I do the ITB setup Im just gonna get a cowlhood section put on
that will give you plenty of clearance and allow GOOD air flow

I think it will look a little funny just cause its a shaker
but it will def. serve the purpose

it would look kind of neat if you had all the filters in one box and that was sticking up a little bit with a Clear lexan lid so you could see the setup from above
but just run the 4-5" inlet to the fog light holes

how about cut a hole in the front of the bump and make a custom sheetmetal air box that directs the air into the quad tb setup!

definately... i have been contemplatin a similar idea for weeks now..

i just saw a pic of the ?hahn? neon w/the ramair/quad t/b setup..
it was a dope setup, but works better since their intake mani is in the front of the eingine bay...

i wouldnt mind compensating a lil viewing room for a quad t/b ram air setup while i am at n/a status....

I dunno it would probably be very effective, but I dont know if you could get something like that to match the looks of the rest of the car. Our cars are very smooth-looking and something like that might look out of place. The hood scoop on the WRX comes to mind, but that sort of fits with the looks of the rest of the car. Just a thought...

I like the idea of cutting a hole into the front of the hump on the hood. Every time I see it, I want to get it done. If you want something else, maybe a little subtle, go with some low key NACA ducts like on the F-40 like shown. THese are my choices. emoji

Yup, that's the hood. I love that car. I would love to take a '71 Hemi Cuda and restore/build it.

The reason I wanted opinions is I'm not sure how it would fit with the lines of the car. I love the idea for cold/ram air, but I don't want it t look goofy/out of place.

My original idea is use my existing cold air pipe, fiberglass a scoop to the bumper hole on the drivers side and route it to an airbox/heat shield around the TB filters. But I was thinking about the shaker and can't decide good or out of place. Any photoshop masters out there emoji

that hood would werk, but the hole is right above the exhaust mani, and would prolly remain hot...

i am thinking that if you could cut a section of the hood (in the middle, by the windshield), and, after havin the quad t/b setup in place, hook up one of the k&n flat filter (like the drop in stock replacement) right where the cutout is...

maybe have the filter sittin a cuple inches higher than the hood, to catch more air (duh)...

its all hard to describe, but yall know what the idea is...

i wish i still had my stock hood, i would donate that shit in a second...

any donaters??????

keep me informed mike, im down to help/add input wherever on this emoji
