#33374, "Rear Hatch is leaking!!!"

Hi,

Someone please help...I used the search but didn't find anything. My rear hatch is leaking whenever it rains and it's pissing me off. My back seats get soaked and then smell like mildew...Any suggestions? Thanks...

examine the rubber seal that runs around the hatch opening. Look for dry rot, cracks or flatened areas.

also examine the rubber moulding around the hatch glass itself. On my car I have a loose spot where the moulding can move around and let water in. If you can pull the moulding out with your hand with almost no force then it will leak.

Ok, I think the rubber seal is loose. What can I do to tighten it? Thanks...

if you are talking about the exterior windows moulding I haven't come up with a solution yet. My first idea was to squirt some silicone in there and seal it up. But if you are talking about the rubber moulding in the hatch then your gonna have to replace it probably.
