i found a weapon-R race style harness. here, you can look if you want :http://www.speedpeople.com/cart/cart1.cfm?SubCat=Racing%20Harness and was wondering if racing harness are legal if you still ratain your stock seat belts. i have heard numerous things. their illegal to have, their not illegal to have, but illegal to use, then i have heard some say they are perfectly legal. so whats the story?? i live in oklahoma, but my home is in texas so i commute back and forth alot. well anyways, any info would be great!

if the harness is not d.o.t. approved, its illegal to wear driving. so you must wear your stock seat belt. there is one i think schroth(sp?) that is d.o.t. approved, so that would be legit, plus i read somewhere that the material in the dot approved is better.

weapon R harness is junk and im doubting its dot approved i think its more for show.. i do have a RJS 3" harness its blue that i got for my eclipse but i no longer have it.. and the harness was so big i couldnt fit it through the small holes my seats had (not stock seats)
its sitting in my room somewhere never been used a real race harness.. 4pt
i payed 65 ill let it for for 50 shipped if interested
