cf or fiberglass NEEDS pins. You don't want that hood to fly up and bust your car and cause u to wreck. Shit, alone some of the cases I have seen, the hood flying up and hitting the top can total a car. I have seen tops get busted all to hell from hoods popping up. Pins look a little more aggressive imo, but they may save your car, and I wouldn't want that hood flying off my car. I imagine that set you back a good $600 or so with shipping.

Hood pins are a definate. They are not there for looks, they are there for safety. I am sure that you noticed the weight difference in the hoods. If you manage to not shut your hood all they way, on accident of course, the hood can pop up and cause you to wreck. Light weight + wind at ANY speed is bad mmkay. Picture having a hat on forward tight ot your head while running....it stays on. Now, same hat, same speed running, but have it tightened very lightly. It will fly off right there, if not then at the next gust of wind it will. If you would like to risk a broken windshield, smacked up roof, or a missing busted up hood, then.....NO PINS FOR YOU!!! If you would like to rest easy knowing your hood is nestled nicely over your engine all perty n whatnot, then pins are teh winnar! emoji THe choice is yours, either way, that shit is tite yo emoji

mad props on that hood... i wanna trade mines for that style now...

hood pins are, imo, necessary..... figure your drivin 60, and a gust of wind hits u at 40mph, that's 100mph resistance wanting to pull your hood over the car...

now your doin 110 smokin sum POS honduh, and that same 40 mph wind hits u......

in vegas, i seen 80mph gusts, or at least been blown away by em...

worth the ~30 bux and hour to install em....

do it right, and get sparcos the first time...

I thank that hood looks real good, I am thinking of getting one if the DOT gives me enough money for my misfortune in a construction area... I think hood pins would look good.... either way it looks mighty fine.

at night or even durring the day unless your up close you really cant tell that it is carbon fiber. Having a black car with cf hood its not really easy to tell when i get my color change it will be much more noticable
