There are so many bulb manufacturer's out there claiming their bulb's have the look of HID lamps. Anybody have recommendations of bulbs that actually work? Also, can we use higher wattage lamps without burning our wiring harness'? Higher wattage should produce brighter light. Our manuals specify 51W for low beam, 60W high beam, and 55 for our foglights.
PIAA Platinums look much like the real thing (I know the original superwhites say platinum series but the Platinums I'm talking about say "Briliant H.I.D. color" on the label and aren't pure white like the orig Super whites). Now PIAA has a new light out called Xtreme which they claim looks even more like the real thing (these light must be the sh*t cause the Platinum bulbs are by far the best thing I've seen. Better looking than Polarg and Hiper industries). PIAA Plasma blues look good but will have you getting pulled over frequently if cops in your area are into that (and hard to find and $$ unless of course you have a honda H4).
Well here in Ma, there really isnt much of a scene, so cops have no clue aboutaftermarket parts/lighting..I have had blue turn signals for about a year, and have never been spoken to about them..and ive been pulled over twice for speeding..both at night..i guess it depends on where you live..
Yeah I had purple bulbs in my corner for almost a year before I got pulled over for them. I had to get my PIAAs(Platinums Brillant HID ver) from canada since they don't sell them in the US.. and the import shops at the time didn't have them.. not sure if they do now since I haven't needed new bulbs since.
Now if I could only find a good bulb to match for the stock fog lights.
i had the OG piaa's and they were just plain white like you said, now i have the Hiper's and they look pretty good. before those i had the polarg's with my projectors. i like the hipers the best
