what is the best thee guage a-pillar to pick up? i remember someone here had one that looked so good it seemed like it came stock on the car. also, what three guages should i throw in there with a turbo?

EGT, A/F, and boost?

i would rather do just a 2 guage cluster bezel, but i really need three guages. am i going to 'need' any more than that?

Yes, I would say a vacuum/boost gauge and an EGT gauge are essential for monitoring and tuning a turbocharged car. An air/fuel gauge is very helpful too, but the little blinky light one that you're thinking of getting for that third hole in the pillar isn't as accurate as others.

Get a digital air/fuel gauge, like the Jumptronix or Corbin's. You can mount it just about anywhere you want, it's a little square box with a digital readout. And you'll get more specific readings.

Then you can get your other 2 gauges in the gauge bezel and still be a sleeper.

Boost/ Air/fuel/ and EGT Do with no less. You need these gauges to properly tune you car, and to keep good tabs on the engine's response to boost. A digital A/F gauge is the best to have, as this will tell you what your o2 sensor voltage is at WOT, instead of a blinky light. I have the tripple pod on my car, it fully replaces the stock pillar, fits perfect, and looks like it was made to go there. You can find it at www.gaugepods.com about 50 bucks.. They have dual and tripple pods there too...

how much would all these gauges cost? i want to keep my car with turbo in perfect shape.

New Car:
2004 350z base, Nismo CAI, pioneer avic-n1 (dvd, cd, navi)



Old Car:
1998 GS with hrc stage 2, HID 6000k conversion kit, AEM UEGO wideband, sfmu, ml, prokits, Greddy warning gauges: egt, boost gauge, and oil pressure, apexi tt, haydans tranny cooler, costum dp, groundwires, dynotune fp gauge. gst muff, turbo spoiler
Boostin since Aug 03.

nothing like driving with the windows down and the music low: i love hearing the turbo spool, swwwhhhttt!!!!

dont have time to search today but where and how much is the afgauge from corbin or the other one and could i buy it anywhere...and does it hook up like the autometer gauge

EGT around 150 give or take, depends on what model you get, I have the Autometer Pyrometer, about 130 bucks. Its the same as EGT though..goes to 1600 degrees. Reacts very quick. My autometer A/F gauge was about 50 bucks, but its a blinky light one, its hard to tune with really. I use a voltmeter to tune, and daily drive with the blinky light for a quick referecne.

Autometer just came out with indiglo gauges, called the Cobalt series. But they are MUCH more expensive! Look on eBay for them.
