I took the tint off my front doors today, and the glue is all over them. Anyone know a way to get it off, cause at the rate I'm going now, I'm going to miss my college graduation in 4 years. I'm using mineral spirits and a towel. I thought of maybe heating it? or some of that goo gone stuff? Any suggestions are appreciated.

i agree with Jen that Finger nail polish works pretty good with dried glue. Something about solvent characteristics found in nail polish. any chemist out there care to explain. it's been a while since my last O-chem lecture.

i know this sounds cheap but i had to pull the sorry ass tint off my windows when i got it, i used that proffesional window cleaner that foams up and the scrub brush attachment off of a vacum cleaner, it worked good and didnt scratch the windows or anything

I had to remove mine due to a fix-it-ticket last summer on my 96 Eclipse (which I sold due to miles..)
I used window cleaner with ammonia in it, and a dobie scratch-free dish pad (one of the yellow sponge ones with the plastic surrounding mesh) and with a good amount of elbow grease, it came clean... and no scratches at all.

Yeah I had to remove my tint from the rear hatch let me tell you it was a bit*h. I used a heating gun forst and all the glue I used goof off to clean the rest. Remember after the goof off stuff spray some windecx and get rid of the scent becuase I didnt do it first and I felt high on the ride home.
