I have checked decah.net also. They say they will be making a kit possibly in the future. Right now they only have it for..... yep civics. The direct bolt on kit runs i think $1600. I think the kit is cool but the price for a bunch of hinges is a little too far fetched.

Do all ya'll remember the CRX with the Lambo doors?..

Anyways, I was going through my old e-mails, and I came across to the e-mail addy, to the guy who actually designed the door.

He is giving the plans and how they did it away (I believe)..

Dunno, anyways, I e-mailed him, and I am waiting for a reply..

But he was saying how he uploaded all those things, but then they deleted it because they said he "stole" some software that was never found.

there is no possible way to do gullwing doors(like on the deloreans) on an eclipse unless you completely replace the whole door. you have to have a rim around the window so that it can be attached there to open.

thanks docwhiplash for the link. lambo doors look so good!

basiksylz, yeah they doors have been done before...i've only seen one
though! and i've soon soo many suicide doors. thats not very different. and almost everything has been done. it's the combo that makes the car! at least in my opinion.

by the way i've emailed that site and asked when they are planning on releasing the kit, if it's motorized or not, etc. let everyone know when i get a reply

i didn't think about this but a 1g can have the gullwing doors. i've seen on and it was really odd looking. suicide doors are sweet on an eclipse. never seen one in this area though. i think it would be awesome to sit there and pull up to a place with all these people showing off their cars and the you pull up and they all look and think you're a joke, then you open your door and boom everyone's jaw drops.

basiksylz, i know what you mean though. that guy in the pic has gotten a LOT of publicity from his doors. and i like suicide doors also. if i can find the pic again i'll post the suicide doors though, not sure if i'll be able to, it's been awhile. can't decide on which doors i'd like to have though. both have their appeals. still no response from my email. this one guy quoted me 3 grand for doing suicide doors! before i pay that i'll go with the lambo kit and have'em motorized with a remote!

O wait!!..
I remember I saw a Supra with gull wing doors. Yes, gull wing doors. I know gull wing doors require the B panel or A panel, or that rim around the door's window, and the Supra doesn't have it. I think it was the Veilside Supra, I forgot.

My friend has Gull wing doors on his civic and he has to put a tarp over hte back of his car when it rains. But the shop he had do it is gonna seal the doors or him and put em on hydro's so they open automatically. I could prolly get pics if y'all like, after he fixes his engine (threw a rod).

My brother is in the process of putting Lambo doors on his prelude. Left door is done and I tell you it looks pretty damn good. Right side will be done in about 2 weeks or so. He paid around $3000 to get all this done. I'll post pictures as soon they are finished.
