I need to know if that black tinted wax stuff really works? The person who had the car before me/my brother (He had it for about 2 weeks) took SHITTY ASS care of it so there are swirls all over it. It was some girl who drove it nice, but never washed the damn thing... It looks like when it got really dirty she just wiped the dirt off w/ a terry cloth towel... Also do you guys have any tips to keep my paint looking new? I use Eagle 1 Wet wax/Carwash/Spray Detailer... I'm thinking about using Zymol next time... I'm just pissed... I'm a neat freak, my brother who has a 91 240sx w/ perfect red paint says "A Black car is just impossible to keep looking good" Fu** him... I will always have a good looking black car no matter what he says ;o) Of course I need your tips to prove him wrong.

Please Help me anything will help.

Yea, a black car is verrry hard to keep looking good. You'll notice swirls on even new black cars that have been off the lot only a couple months. And the problem with normal polishes is that they're white, and if it gets into all the little crevises and stuff, it's going to take a lottt of detailing to get to it.
I've used the black polish (Turtle Wax Color Cure) and it works awesome, it covers up all the swirls and scratches pretty impressively. The only problem is that if evaporates very quickly... it looks good for about a week, then it starts looking back like it did before. The chipstik is also pretty good at covering up small chips on the hood.

I just used Turtle cleaner wax. 4 coats on the front, 2 from the doors on back. Looked brand freakin new for about a week, now it's back to looking normal. I wash my car about 2 times a week, so it never looks like crap though. I know a guy who would give his life in the defense that Zymol is the best stuff in the galaxy. I haven't tried it, but would like to. It's a little expensive though. Give it a try. Black cars are the shit!

I wonder what would happen if you used the black wax, then you put a coat of eagle one over the black stuff?! Thigh might help w/ the evaporation?

-Thanks guys!

Has anybody ever tried Classic auto wax? That stuff is really good. I've been using it for about a year and I've never been unsatisfied. It leaves the car nice and shiny and smooth. It lasts for quite a while too.

I live by the 3 step program. Crack, lift and pour!!!lol, no seriously, Mothers 3 stepper is nice stuff! It is a lot of work but is AWESOME. There is nothing that beats the look of a freshly waxed car. The paint on my 95 is holding up real nice!!!

I've used tire shine on the places on my roof that the clear is coming up, but that only works for like a day and makes it all greasy. Try that 3-step shit from meguire's. or wipe down the whole car with GS-27, lol.

Eagle one wet. I won't even try anything else now. It's so easy, that's what I like about it. 3 step procedures? I spend too much time on my car already

I used that colored turtle wax stuff too, and it was ok. Didn't last long though, and the chip stick didn't last long either. It's waz and when your car gets hot (easy for a black car) it just melts right off again.

Im the biggest asshole when it comes to taking care of my cars paint.. go to www.properautocare.coma and learn and use there stuff.. I get alot of my things off of the Malco truck the comes into my dealership every friday.. First you need to wash your paint real good and then you need to "Clean" the paint then "seal" it and then wax her up.. Just remember you get what you pay for

Before

After

I use Meguire's Gold Class wax. LIke someone stated earlier, getting wax stuck in the little crevices is a pain.

I just tried mothers scratch remover, and when I put it on it just filled up all these tiny little scratches with white stuff and it looked like shit! I had to wash the damn car again to get it off. I have the 3 step stuff from them too, but now I'm afraid to use it. Is there any way to avoid the prob?

Also, has anyone ever used the wax shop stuff? My dad says he used to swear by it. Just wonderin' . . .

no. the only way to avoid getting the white shit in your rock chips is to use a clear wax.i have the same problem and thats what a paint touch-up gut told me. Black is beautiful, but a big pain in the ass.
