dremel.. save yourself money and use a dremel.. or anything that can cut/widen the opening.

Hehe, I know this sounds lame, but I used duct tape and "sealed" my 6 1/2" holders.

u know 5x7 fit in the back of the car speaker mounts. i have 5x7 kenwoods and they sound like a champ emoji

I cut the frame off of the stock speakers and rubber cemented them to my kenwood 6x9's. Then I just screwed them in. It worked perfectly and no rattle.
