Anyone ever shaved the stock antennae and rewired a racing antennae on the hatch? How hard is it to do? Anything to look out for?

TIA

Hey. Well, I shaved my antennae and I just happened to do it after I got a new windsheild. I got one of those windsheilds with the little anteannae "built in". It is like a "string" on the glass. The reception is the same. I dunno is its built into the windsheild, but check around and see and if it isnt, you could just have them install it. Hope it help man!

I shaved my antenae. I haven't hooked up a new antenae yet. I dont listen to the radio, so it hasn't been a priority. I plan on getting one of those cool VW style ones on the top of my hatch.

Well...do you have to shave the washer nozzles and windshield wiper to do that? .. or at least the nozzle? If I don't have to shave anything but the antennae and stick one on my hatch...then I'll do it.

Lemme know please...thanks!
