don't think i'm insane either but i thought about this months after my door handle broke. the dealer fixed it and everything but if this happens again, i thought of not shaving the handle, but putting door poppers in. then i'd just have the broken handle permanently attached and unable to be moved. i handles can be used to open the door once the poppers have done there job. i hope i've made some sense...
