#27525, "Anodized spray paint"

A while back someone posted something about a spray paint that you can use on your brake calipers that simulates an anodized look. I saw the thing on the Speed channel, and I can't find the post anywhere.

Does anyone know/remember the brand and where to get the stuff. Thanks

It is called Metalcast and it is made by Dupli-Color. I am currently using it on my valve cover and calipers. It works pretty nice, be sure you sand the surface first to get it clean. Check out the Dupli-Color website for info. I couldn't find it in any stores around here, but when I was at Carlisle for the Chrysler Nationals, they had it there and I bought some. It had the company's name on the can and phone number, so I called and ordered more. I like it though. It doesn't quite match my AEM Blue Intake, but it's close and it does look anodiezed.

Are you serious?? When did that happen? That's stupid. Good thing it doesn't affect me though, I'm 20.

Honestly, I just took my car to the shop today. It was burning oil for a couple days now, and today it was realy bad. I looked at my car when I got home from school and saw there was oil dripping out of my car now (which it wasn't before). I am thinking it's probabally the headgasket because oil was being burned and now also dripping from the back of the block somewhere. This is the best pic I can show you for now. Sorry. The letters on the valve cover have since been sanded so they are now silver. I also painted the header silver with 1500 degree paint. The MetalCast stays on fine, it didn't even smoke at all, just smelled for a day or two. I put on some 500 degree clear coat too when I was finished with it. Be sure to put the ground coat on all surfaces though, if you don't and you're painting on a dark surface the color coat wont look as bright because it is slightly transparent. Just read the directions on the back. I have no complaints.
