If you have projectors, then it would be a good idea. With our factory headlights, the reflectors aren't designed for the amount of lumens that HID systems put out. You'll get a lot of light coming from your headlights, and it will have a wide spread. The newer HID headlights in new cars are designed with HID systems in mind, that's why the newer SUV's HID lights aren't as bright as the early Honda HID lights. Those things are unreal as far as brightness. Plus I think the newer systems have an auto leveling systems to prevent people from being blinded. With projectors, you have a more focused beam where the light spread is much less, therefore people won't feel the need to flash their lights at you.

They do look great, but any oncoming traffic that you'd encounter with stock headlight housings will probably flash their lights at you because of the brightness. Then you'll flash them with your high beams which won't be as bright as your low beams.

I wouldn't really recommend them with stock headlights.

HID's in stock housings are quite ok. Was never flashed once at all. Lit up the road amazingly well.

As for HID in "APC style" projectors, all signs point that those projector units are junk. I cannot say for certain myself because i do not own any of those APC-style projectors. I'm still looking for someone who owns Ebay projectors to post some pics of the beam patterns on a dark road and off a wall (7' back from the wall).
What people have done is replace the projector units in those ebay housings with some OEM projectors (off audi/bmw) or some aftermarket Hella projectors.
