I checked out your sig, how did you put your mesh in your front bumper...looks like you used the gutter guard stuff from Home Depot or similar. Did you epoxy the sides of it or whatever? How did you get it to stay?

yeah.....I did it the cheap but hard way.... It's regular old gutter guard that I purchased at my local hardware store for around $5..... I took the time to take the entire front bumper off, cut the pieces of mesh to fit just over the openings they would cover,leaving longer edges on the side to fold over , and used some hand melded epoxy putty to hold it into place. The only problem was that it came unattached in one spot at what seemed to be the very instant I put the last bolt back in place...F*CK!!!! So I then used small 'S' shaped hooks and some twine to pull the grill foreward into place and hold it there while I went around the outside trim with some black silicone sealant. This was good, because you could rub off the excess silicone once it was dry, and it is a nice flexible bond.
The only problem I have with it is that now, almost three months later, it has decided to come unattached in that one spot again. I think that you could prevent this from happening by making sure that the mesh pieces are 100% straight with no bends in them before molding them down. I think the mistake I made was in trying to fold the edges of the grill over the inside of the bumper......it doesn't want to stay flush now in that spot. I'm afraid that in order to fix this, I may have to partially take the bumper off again So make sure you have plenty of time, and get it right on your first try!!! ~E~ 1999gs
