#26741, "mesh grill suggestions"

im fixin to install a mesh grill on my 96 rs. im gonna cut the little peices out of the middle, so heres my delima. i ordered a sheet of mesh since they dont make them for my year. i still have the empty "cups" where the fog lights would go, but i have aftermarket projector fogs in them. so..do i leave the fogs in the cups and just stop the mesh at the end of each cup, or do i go all the way to each end of the hole and re mount the fogs on my bumper??

Try going all the way across, and cutting holes out where the fog lites shine through.

you don't have to order that over priced grill mesh you can get it at Home depot or lowes. Its gutter guard thats all it is. Its $1.27 at home depot. Just in case you didn't know.

Hey aggression or anyone who knows...

I have that mesh in my grill...but it's soooo flimsy...what can you do to make it sturdy? I would think that the mesh you order would be more stiff/firm.

Well, just my question...

If you have a soldering tool, you could bond some horizontal metal wire to it, you know, something a little more rigid.

The gutter guard from home depot that i have on my car isn't flimsy at all. But to fix the flimsy stuff just get the little angle brakets and mount to bumer and then to mesh to keep it from bowin

my gutter guard isnt flimsy either. if you really want the other stuff, i would say practice on gutter guard cuz its cheap and you can cut it different ways till you find out which one you like better. then cut the "good" stuff that way.
