The one person i know who painted his dash white got so fed up with the glare he ended up painting it black.

You could try a low-gloss or no-gloss white... but it's still going to be bright. I don't think there is much you can do.

dino you bastard, you know ME and i painted mine white...listen girl, leave it white, you will get used to the glare, wear sunglasses in teh summer, in the winter it isnt so bad. but trust me, a month or so and you won tnotice it...if you put a cover on top of the painted dash theres a good chance the paint will get so hot in hot weather that the fabric from the dash cover will stick to it. (dont ask me how i know this, but it sucks)

and to tell the truth, my dash gives off more glare now than it did when it was white, because i put on a shitload of clearcoat, which is apprently more reflective than the white paint i had before. btw, my dash is blue now

hahah sorry I had to laff...I was afraid to paint mine white for this very reason. but it looks killer though. Joe had his white for a month of so then switched to blue...now black I think, like dino said. My dash is red, btw. Heck my white pieces blind me and those are just trim pieces!

mine was a shock the first time i drove it after painting...but i got used to it. i dont even really notice it anymore. i say drive around for a few days to see if you really can stand it before you do anything. did you put clear on it? i didnt but maybe thats what is making it so blinding.

I know someone who had it wrapped in white vinyl. I would lay a towel on it while driving or something, but take it off when you aren't in the car. Maybe a damp towel so it stays cool enough to prevent sticking?

one of my friends that did theirs all white just puts a peice of black felt over the dash while he's driving. Just takes it off when he parks

sounds like a lot of hassle just to drive your car, that is carrying around a towel and wetting it everytime you drive around.
