Alright, I want to take off the Esi, Eagle, and 16v DOHC tags on my car, but I don't know how they are attached??? Are they just on there by some hella-3M tape or what? Can I take these things off, or will I need to get them shaved off?? Also, if I take them off, will it be clean under there, or will I be able to tell I took them off?? (like diff color paint? rust? stuff like that?)

My Talon is a 1998. Those badges/letters are just "taped" on with and industrial tape-like substance. If you heat it up they will peel right off (I just used my finger). Underneath there may be a slight paint mismatch (due to the sun) and you may need some goo-gone to get rid of any additional residue. The paint mismatch wasn't bad for me and I just washed and waxed after and it was fine. Hope this helps. P.S. I am not sure how the badges/letters are held onto th 95-96 (I know it does look a little different as I think they are painted body color and mine on the 98 were a silver color and my car is white)

I'm not sure how bad the paint mismatch might be, just know that it probably will be there. And for future reference (if you consider it down the road), if you decide to take off those moldings on you door (to fit an aftermarket side skirt on or whatever) there will be six holes (about 3-4 mm diameter each) per side to fill and paint (4 on the door and two on the rear qtr pnl). Hope I could help.
