A guy in the town north of me has a real carbon fiber hood off his eclipse (oem style). Hes sellin it for between 350-400, Ive got 600 bucks. Do I jump on this situation or not? I've always wanted one, but I never planned on getting one until later, like after turbo n all the speed goodies. If I get the hood am I gonna tell a difference in weight?

when i took out my passenger seat i could tell the difference and that was 40 lbs. with a c/f hood you will lose about 30 lbs, so i would say you will be able to feel it. -Josh

if this hood is already on his car then the price is not good because you can get the hood brand new for that price...... also you have to make sure it in good cond. and that it fits properly... i'v seen nice hoods before and i'v seen ones that the mold were screwed up... you need to check it out first.... I would personally offer him 300 for the hood if it's in good condition

the hood is in excellent condition, i know the guy really good, he wouldnt sell me any bunk shit. his eclipse runs low 10's, no joke, hes 4g63, but he built his own custom turbo, 45psi, shit you not.
