Just painted or replace the front bumper/fender? They are severely dented.

Thanks

BTW...did you see the apron pics? Those are the bad ones I think. I updated the links on the original post....

haven't checked out the apron pics yet....you could pull the dents out then paint over them, or you could replace the major dented areas..

UPDATE: I dunno bout the apron, gonna have to get some others peeps opinions on that

Yeah...the apron is the bitch. I am wondering if it would effect future bumper/fender/headlight installations ? The first body guy quoted me $400 just to smooth out the apron. But he is always charge double or higher for stuff, so who knows?

WHAT does everyone else think? Any body specialists in the house?!?! (pleeeasse please pleas please) :-D

Thanks soldja, and TIA everyone else!

yeah that damage to the side of the car looks strange and whoever fixed it didnt fix it well. i dont think you will have to worry about frame damage.. if you had it im sure you would know by now. i bet that when you get to adding a body kit and such that whoever does it try and fix the fitment problems that may present themselves.. im sure it can be fixed. Looks like your paint is in much worse condition than mine.. the clearcoat is coming off my mirrors also. what i always find funny is how good our cars can look from afar even when up close there are issues.. i still have previous owner damage also.. for example my "custom racing stripe" down the passenger side of my car and the slight ding in my drivers door, but heck i got a good deal on my car and so far the car has been pretty good to me. good luck on your further modding.

Thanks man! Yeah, I'm definitely having the car painted...even if I have to sell it. I just am trying to judge what is most economical....an aftermarket body kit, 97 stock body kit, or just pulling the dents out.(although body shop told me I'd be better off getting a new bumper anyway because they didn't think they could fix it or something) Anyway, like I've said and always say...I'm just watching out for the future...once I start dumping into this baby, there is no going back. (danger will, danger!) Just wanna do it wisely.

a little comment... I didn't snag a pic yet, but on the passenger door it looks like the vinyl or whatever is peeling away from the window sill(well where the window comes down into..that black border) I dunno if that can be fixed or if I'd have to replace the whole door panel or what? I guess I can address that if I keep my car and paint my interior.(oh yes! she will be painted interior if I keep her)

Ok, sorry for the rant/rave/retardedness...sometimes I get carried away. emoji

Thanks for advice guys!

So I'm guessing you're saying that the body kit (aftermarket) is the most economical route to take? I'd really like to know, please.

Thanks everyone!

looks like someone can't paint worf a $h!t or the owner before hand was a lazy a$$ and didn't wax it. but yeah...get a kit and have the whole car repainted the same clor(so it'll be less).

Hmm... well do you think I should try and find a used 97 full body kit and try and go that route with the paint? That's the only one I think I can afford at the moment, cuz if I go for the aftermarket, I will be looking at a minimum of $1000 just for the kit because I'll have to get lights, fogs, and reverse lights as well....and I just don't have that kind of money right now.

Hmm...any advice or ideas?

Thanks
