if anyone has taken out their HVAC for any reason, could you explain how to get it out.. i took off the first plastic trim.. then unscrewed those 4 screws that are right in front.. now the fan controls, a/c, etc can move a little bit, but i don't know how to actually get them out, please help..tia

There's a plastic tab on the dirver's side that you need to break off. If you look behind the HVAC you will notice a big plastic bracket that is attached to a metal bracket by a little tab. Supposedly that tab is there for assembly reasons and isn't required in order to keep the HVAC controls properly secured to the car.

i think i found the spot you were talking about.. i got away with just getting off the metal.. but now i gotta figure out how get the light bulbs that are in there out.. anybody who's done this have any advice?

just wanted to let you know that i did find it.. i was giving myself more work than i needed, i thought the whole thing had to come out, but i found the bulb.. thanks for helping out..
