Who makes aftermarket steering wheels that would fit a 2G? I know of the big companies (i.e. Momo) but some of their prices can be pretty steep...any alternatives? Thanks for the advice...

aftermarket steering wheels usually require a hub adaptor, momo, spearco will have hub addaptors (made for your car), and then the sterring wheels attach to that...
Nopi has a good selection of wheels and hubs and good prices...

you can kinda see my sterring wheel in this pic...
